Peter Michelsen is a partner at CamberView, where he represents corporate clients on contested situations and complex governance matters. He joined CamberView in 2014 with more than a decade of experience advising Boards and management teams involved in contested situations. He has been involved in more than 20 activist situations and hostile takeovers, as well as approximately $50 billion in M&A transactions. Previously, Mr. Michelsen was a Managing Director in the investment banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. At Goldman, Mr. Michelsen was a member of the Mergers & Acquisitions group and worked extensively on anti-raid engagements, including shareholder activism, proxy fights and consent solicitations, hostile takeovers, and defense preparedness. Mr. Michelsen started his career at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he executed M&A transactions across a broad range of industries. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. from Claremont McKenna College.
