Growth Capital Expo 2015 Program Announced

We are pleased to announce the discussion panel program for the Growth Capital Expo 2015 general session and Public Company Boot Camp. This year we have an exciting schedule of discussion panels on the most critical issues in emerging growth company investment and finance, featuring the top experts in the market.

The full schedule is available here.

Our program kicks off on Sunday afternoon, April 12, with the Public Company Boot Camp, the Expo’s popular pre-event workshop for pre-IPO and early-stage public company officers and directors. This year we are joined in the program by the National Association of Corporate Directors, the leading association fostering good corporate governance practices and board development for public companies. The NACD’s general counsel, Steve Walker, will host the workshop and introduce the Boot Camp’s keynote speaker, Adam Epstein of Third Creek Advisors, and author of” The Perfect Corporate Board”, the definitive guide on board development for officers and directors of small cap companies.

The Boot Camp is available to all attendees holding a “Full Access” ticket or can be purchased separately. The workshop is limited to 80 participants only, so reserve your spot early for this popular program – it will sell out quickly.

The NACD is sponsoring the Expo Opening Reception immediately following the Boot Camp at 6:00 pm Sunday. All Expo and Boot Camp attendees are welcome to come, pick up their registration materials, and enjoy the reception as we gear up for the jam-packed Expo general session program beginning the following morning, April 13, at 8:30 am.

Day One of the Expo general session will focus on issues and trends in investment in the PIPE, registered private placement, and public emerging growth capital markets. The day will lead off with a review of market data on registered and unregistered private placements into both private and public small cap companies, by the top market research providers in the PIPE, registered offerings and pre-IPO private equity markets. Other panels will address legal and regulatory issues confronting the market, and trends in pricing, structuring and issuing PIPE and registered private placement securities.

In the afternoon of Day One, the Expo’s general session will feature panels on Patent and IP Investing, and Activism in Microcap Companies. These are two of the most active strategies employed by institutional investors in the emerging growth company sector today. We will assemble market leaders in these strategies to help you understand how to profit from, or to defend against, these approaches to microcap investment.

Day One closes with the Expo Networking Reception – the “Big Night” for hob-nobbing and meeting with the top players, company executives and senior advisors in the emerging growth capital market. Quench that thirst, push those pangs back, and work the room before heading out into the balmy desert night – average weather in Las Vegas in April is 78 degrees and dry – and taking in all that the Entertainment Capital of America has to offer.

Just don’t enjoy yourself too much, for there’s a lot more in store on Day Two of the Expo. More on that in a follow-up post soon….
